WHY 10TH PLANET TACTICAL?
-A call to revise use of force training has brought us to a flash point in this country. It is a complex issue that currently commands our national attention. Having the right vision moving forward is critical. Critical not only for the safety of the public, but also for the professionals who depend on these skills to do their jobs.
-Proficiency-based training in recovery, control and restraint techniques may be key. This training must be simple, effective, and consistent in the long term. Done right, it has been proven to reduce both injuries as well as the need to deploy more lethal options.
-Use of force technologies and teaching modalities have evolved dramatically in recent times. Many training systems are either outdated, incomplete or have devolved into little more than academic checklists. There is a big difference between being certified in a skill set and being proficient in it. 10th Planet Tactical was developed with this in mind.
-TPT has been developed over the past 15 years with the help of a team of technical advisors from various military, law enforcement and medical backgrounds. Simple, safe, and effective training is guaranteed regardless of the participant’s level of experience. The curriculum can be adapted to meet the specific needs of any team and may be operated in either a centralized or decentralized format.
-10th Planet Tactical (TPT) strives to strike a balance between historically useful skills, strategies, and teaching formats with the latest innovations available. It draws from multiple sources in a dynamic partnership with those for whom it was developed. Over the past decade and a half, the latest in fight science, technical and tactical advancements have been combined in an ever-evolving program designed to meet real world needs. TPT is flexible and able to meet training requirements at local, regional, and national levels. Hard work and innovation have built on successes from the past and raised the bar for what is possible in the future.
-In addition to military and law enforcement, TPT has worked extensively with private contractors, 1st responders and healthcare professionals. If your workplace holds an inherent potential for violence, you owe it to yourself, your family and your team to develop and maintain the skills that may one day help bring you home safe. 10th Planet Tactical is the practical tactical toolbox and we look forward to seeing you on the mats.
